Just another day

He smoked pot sitting on the front porch,
it was just another day.

She put the kettle on the stove and made eggs,
It was just another day.

It was just another day.

The old woman carried a basket full of apples and the old man winks and offers to carry,
It was just another day.

He stood in front of the temple and prayed as the cars honked behind,
It was just another day.

The dog peed on the staircase,
It was just another day.

He stood in the church.
She stepped out of the car.

He looked back and smiled
She looked up and smiled.

He took a deep breath.
She took a deep breath.

Oh, it wasn’t Just Another Day,
